I have difficulty passing up handmade pottery--especially when it's blue...
especially when the price is $.35!
And though I probably will never master the art of French cooking, I thought $.50 for this cookbook was a most fair price!
Most of my thrift store shopping and garage "saling" over the past few days was spent looking for children's clothing, since a few of our grandchildren were here.  This dress was in that $5 bag from a few days ago.  It is fully lined and fits the intended child beautifully.  It's cost?  $.20!

  3. That's it! I'm coming for a visit! I went to a great thrift shop that I hadn't been to in a while and was shocked at their prices. They did have some lovely things but at high prices plus the people there weren't all that friendly. I went away empty handed :(

    Have a great week, Bonnie

  4. Bonnie, I know what you mean! There aren't too many out there anymore that have reasonable prices. The mug and cookbook were at a thrift store in Hicksville OH. I also bought a couple of T-shirts for my grandson there.

I don't go as frequently as I used to.... but STILL go away empty handed sometimes. I'm just stubborn about pricing (and really don't need another thing anyway).

  5. Hi Rebecca...Nice finds. I like pottery, too. As far as pricing, it depends on the thrift store. A couple of times, Salvation Army and Goodwill shops had kind of high prices but Saver's always has good ones. I love the thrill of the hunt, like you! Susan
