sunday scene

My Sunday-go-to-meeting outfit.  All thrifted, of course--from head to toe.
The chartreuse green top is my invitation to spring!  Skirt is navy blue.
Remember the 25-cent jigsaw puzzle I bought earlier this week at a thrift store?
Well, THIS is the problem with thrifted jigsaw puzzles!
Few things frustrate me MORE :)
See how my top matches the roll top desk behind me?
We found the desk awhile ago at a garage sale,
and a year or so later decided to paint it.
I really like the color.

  2. Have always loved lime and navy...you did well!!! I just crawled out of the closet...looking to see what I have for wearing as seasons shift or try to...now much choice for that inbetween time.

  3. Your outfit is GREAT. I love that color of green. As for thrifted puzzles, I skip on those for that very reason. enjoy your sunday

    1. Yeah, I usually do, too. This one just looked so NEW and came in a nifty tin - and was on a subject I thought our grandson's would like (Baseball). My husband suggested doing it before we gave it to them. I'm glad we did. For one thing, it was very difficult -- and then there's the missing pieces bit.

    1. It WAS an accomplishment, Susan! We haven't done one in a l-o-n-g time! (Just kind of anti-climactic to get to the end w/o 2 pieces.)

  8. I really like the shade of green in your sweater ... and your desk. Good thrifting once again. Too bad the puzzle wasn't complete, how frustrating.

    1. The car we were riding in when I bought it is in the shop. I'm holding out a tiny hope that the pieces are on the floor of the car. (I DID open the tin to take a peek on the way home.) "Tiny", I said.
