finders/keepers

We did our share of finding last Friday!
This lamp (1/2 the marked price of $1.50) is a keeper!
One day I'll find a whiter lamp shade.
Until then, it sits beside my chair "as is".  Just the right size to keep chair-side clutter to a minimum.
This incredible vintage white stand with wheels that turn (!)
is too large to keep.  It has already been spoken for.
The glass on this lovely vintage print has been cleaned,
and it will hang with other vintage prints on my bathroom wall.
Another  keeper--along with a glass pitcher, a picture frame and a couple other miscellaneous pieces.
The outing was an inexpensive and satisfying way to enjoy time with my husband.

  3. I love that cart stand....
I can think of a gazillion purposes for it.
I think of you each time I pass the thrift store in Waynesville.
    Hugs,

    1. I so agree about the cart. I just decided that if I could get ore than I paid for it, I'd sell it.
I REALLY want to get to Waynesville again....
I think of you (and your parents) frequently, Jackie.

  4. What? 75 cents for the lamp, Rebecca? That is amazing. It's a nice shade, too. Congratulations. Susan

    1. Yes, the lamp was a bargain and works well for me beside "my" chair. The lampshade looks good in the picture but isn't that light in person :) It also has several flaws which are turned to the back.

  5. I know exactly what you mean by keeping that clutter down. Currently I have more than 25 items on my side table, including both today's and last night's coffee cups.

  7. Your lamp is lovely. What a price. And I love the little cart. They used to be depicted on vintage birthday cards.
