the problem with thrift store purchased puzzles

The problem with puzzles purchased at thrift stores is that
one never knows how many pieces may be missing...
and in this case, there was actually an EXTRA piece.
Go figure!
However, the price is right and a quarter buys many hours of entertainment.

  1. What a great puzzle! I haven't put a puzzle together in ages. This makes me want to run to the thrift store and buy one. I see you have a pegboard under yours. This is what I need to do in our small space! Thanks for this idea, Rebecca! Hugs.

    1. Yes. It gets carried back and forth from our kitchen table to the arms of a chair in another room :) It's been a great winter past-time to share with my father...

  2. Maybe a missing piece just makes it that much more interesting to put together...like a challenge?

    1. Yeah..... That extra piece really had us stumped though. It sure LOOKED like it should have fit somewhere!

  3. For a quarter still a good deal, and a handsome old flag.

  5. It's nice to meet someone else who enjoys puzzles! Each year, after Christmas, the puzzle working fever hits me. This year I only worked one. I put mine together on a window screen which corrals the pieces and keeps them from falling onto the floor and getting lost.
