parting with some pots

These pots wintered on our front porch.
Today my husband power-washed the porch, so I brought them inside to wash
off the accumulation of winter's dirt.
I guess I didn't realize I'd collected so much enamelware.
(I have even better pieces that these inside.)
At any rate, I decided to list them on a local garage sale site
to see if I can sell them.
Reluctantly.  And cheaply.
It's time.

  1. These are great looking! I know about letting go...but it is so sad too! You can be like me and just break them! Saturday I was carrying a moderately big piece of pottery to the garage from deck. It has done its service. Handle broke and piece fell on my toes before hitting concrete and shattering. I have a real purple big toe for Easter!!!

  2. Oh, no! And it's amazing how much the big toe is involved in one's life. We take it for granted until it is smashed! Have you Easter plans? Ours will be simple. Quite low key...

  3. Oh, I love enamelware. I think I would have kept them and used them as planters.

    1. Judging from all the requests I got for these pots, I think I listed them WAY too cheaply and should have held on to them for an INVESTMENT! LOL!

  4. Have you thought about making them into planters for your garden xxx

    1. Great minds, indeed! Yes, the thought entered my mind, but I know my limits. A successful gardener-in-pots I am not.

    1. I'm sure I sold it below market price :)
I had all KINDS of takers waiting in line.
I still have a few pieces in reserve but maybe should have considered a higher asking price. Oh, well...

    2. Don't even think about it, Rebecca. It all seems to wash out in the end. And now you can move on to something more exciting. :-)
