Several years ago, my husband and I struck up a friendship with an elderly couple
who frequented Borders Bookstore almost as much as us!
The gentleman was an artist. We attended one of his shows in Portland, IN.
The couple met in Chicago where both worked as young adults.
While there, he painted a series of Chicago scenes.

He gifted us with two prints.
I've been looking for proper frames for a long time
(at a bargain price, of course).
Friday I stopped at a thrift store on the way to visit my mother and dad.
Imagine my delight to purchase two frames at only thirty cents each.
And THIS, too. At an equally pleasing price!
Good things really DO come to those who wait.
"The LORD is good to those who wait for Him, To the person who seeks Him."
Lamentations 3:25
Oh so true! Those frames are really nice and what a great price.

Yes - and they even came with glass!
DeleteExcuse the pun, but your prayers were answered. Love all three of your purchases.

DeleteI got a much needed pair of Rockport black flats, too! Since my knee & hip surgeries, I needed a whole new shoe wardrobe - but who can afford one at retail prices???? I just keep "waiting" for the right ones in the right size to show up--and they did!
Beautiful bargains!!!
ReplyDeleteYes, they were!
DeleteYou couldn't do better than that! Very nice frames for the beautiful prints. The plaque is a good reminder that prayer does change things.
ReplyDeleteI know! It's been hard to even FIND a pair of wood frames in a thrift store, and when I did, they were like $3 a piece. I passed them by at that price - but NEVER expected to find them for $.30!
DeleteAwesomesauce.....what a bargain and the Lord blesses those who wait!! ;-) HOPE you have a wonderful SONday...we're enjoying a spring rain.
ReplyDeleteThose frames are really nice, Rebecca, and they're perfect for the prints.I like the way you have them matted. xo ~ Nancy
