still here

 Yes, I am--
 still here...
older AND stiller.
 Still loving wooden objects
but listing (and selling) these old croquet balls.
These golden, stackable tables came to me from my parents' home
three years ago.  I still haven't used them.
So they are listed for sale now...
I will miss them.  But not really.
A gentleman will pick these five miniature plates up
this afternoon while we are attending the pony parade.
(Maybe I'll post photos of the parade here or on
my other blog which is updated more frequently these days...)
This is what I'll wear to the pony parade--
thrifted pink top and an even older thrifted black skirt.
(I don't visit thrift stores as much as I used to,
but I still wear thrifted clothes!)

Yes!  I'm still here!

potting benchless

Good-bye to this.
We brought it 'round from the side of the house
to repaint and sturdy up.
Gary made it years ago from recycled wood.
It LOOKED great
and occasionally we used it to hold picnic buffets.
We decided to see if it would sell on a local Facebook sale site.
It did within hours of being posted!
So we are potting benchless now (and a few dollars richer)!
No complaints.

here today; gone tomorrow

We have meetings today with purchasers for these items.
They sold on a local Facebook site.
This means some extra cash AND some extra room!
Encouraged by my success,
I've gathered and washed up a bunch of blue crocks.
I think I'll post them and see what happens.

moody blue

We brought it home from the thrift store with a plan to repaint and sell it,
but the longer I looked at it, the more I fell in love with its "moody blue" color.
And so after removing the paint from the top, the rest was sanded gently,
covered with wax and buffed to a soft, smooth finish.
A part of my heart is hoping no one answers the ad I placed offering it for sale..

furniture ins and outs

It's been a busy day around the house today.
My husband completed the refinish on the kitchen cupboard that we found
at an estate sale last week.
I wanted to move it into the house and contemplated placing it
where this mirror and mantel stand.
In the end, I couldn't do it!  I think it would have made the space too "close",
I couldn't think of anywhere else to put the mantel and mirror,
and I wasn't ready to sell them.
Meanwhile I met a buyer for this white high chair
and another buyer for these two chairs....
A buyer for this mirror came to the house to purchase it
and somewhere in between all the coming and going, ins and outs,
I decided to move this sassy green desk from its space
and list it on a local facebook garage sale site I participate on.
The kitchen cupboard fits where it had been just fine!
So I spent the rest of the time clearing out the desk
and filling up the cupboard.
Now if the buffet (below) sells,
I should have a bit more space in the dining area of our kitchen.
I just may post the re-arrangement when it all happens.
