no regrets

I've never regretted the color we selected for our bedroom wall years ago.
This thought struck me when I woke up this morning
and turned on the lamp--
something else I don't regret....purchasing the lamp, I mean.
At a thrift store, I'm sure.
Also years ago.

rejoice in the way things are.

the whole world belongs to you.”  (Lao Tzu)

  1. Learning contentment is an everyday process for me.

We have so much to be thankful for.

  2. I like the lamp, the color of the shade is a favorite of mine. What a great thought provoking poem. One I think I'll copy and use in a future art project. Thanks!

  3. Lovely post....that is what I always felt about my kitchen wallpaper..that is no more. Some things are just right from beginning. In our hall bath, I turned one piece of wallpaper on its side and hubby nearly had a stroke that night thinking I goofed. Lots of compliments on that and it still hangs there after 30 years.

  4. I love to thrift shop but after bringing many of my mother's lovelies here there's no space. I've been enjoying going with Emily. She's a spray paint queen and her little love nest is adorable with all her "finds." The lamp is beautiful!
