We had no problem making the decision to purchase the table-height stand (above)
at a garage sale a few weeks ago.
Then, last week, we purchased two full cans of a good quality paint at
another garage sale. $8 a gallon!
After putting the final coat of paint on this table (a thrift store purchase),
my husband turned his attention to painting the Mersman table.
I can't wait to show off the final result!
Oh wow! I can't wait to see. I have my mom's buffet and I really want to paint it. Everyone says no, but I think I am. She would just be proud to know that I was happy and was putting it to good use.
ReplyDeleteNormally we don't like to paint wood, either...but there are times when it seems like the right (or only) thing to do.
Deletewondering what the name of that white paint color is? love, love, love the table and buffet.
ReplyDeleteThe paint we bought was from a man who was a painter. I'm guessing his clients decided to use other colors. The "whiter" color is called white mint. It is really unusual. Has just a "hint of mint" green in it. I really like it. He'll put the final coat on today...
DeleteAs always, a beautiful job painting....
ReplyDeleteKudos to your husband.
I'll pass long the "kudos" :)
DeleteThanks,Jackie.
Great job so far. I look forward to seeing the end result, which I know from past projects of yours, will be great.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful weekend ~ FlowerLady
I love both pieces. It's great to know Gary is back enjoying painting and restoring furniture. Bless you both. <3
ReplyDeleteNow that is one GORGEOUS piece, Rebecca.
ReplyDeleteYour hubs really did a spectacular job.
Congratulate him for me, will you? Susan
