Sorting project #4.
I blush to say I have another storage shelf full of candles in addition to these.
You've maybe heard the song "A Thousand Candles"?
I seem to have been unconsciously working toward that.
Seeing these all lying out like this, I have serious questions about my sanity.
Definitely an illustration of thrift store shopping going amuck!
I'm tryng to decide what to do with them all.
I WILL have made a decision by the end of the day.
You're so skillful. You can melt them together and make a bigger candle in a coffee can or some such. Add some smelling stuff, and new candles!
ReplyDeleteGood idea - for someone else. MY goal is to ELIMINATE candles, however :)
DeleteLet us know how you used the candles. I have quite a few here too. I don't light many candles anymore although I once loved them. But I fear fire and hate the residue they leave on walls and fixtures if you use a lot.
ReplyDeleteI kept some red, white and blue ones (not so patriotically motivated as because they are colors I might use). The rest I advertised for "free" and someone WANTS them! Her father makes firestarters from them! Yay!
DeleteUm.., yeah. I get this. Because, well, you know.., the power could go out and all that.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Judy!
DeleteOh, good use for the candles, Rebecca! Win-win situation for all. Now, if everyone lit just one little candle, what a bright world this would be! Susan
ReplyDeleteWell....I'm just gonna have to Amen Susan's comment. Reminds me of the children's song, "This little light of mine"! I shared a children's song on my blog today. I'm sensing a trend in my train of thought! :-)
ReplyDeleteI laughed and laughed.:)
ReplyDeleteCandles are one thing you can always use.:)
