The thrift store side of my life has been neglected of late!
However! Yesterday we stopped at one of my favorites on the way to visit my parents.
I found the sweet white basket. Thirty-five cents.
It joins a sewing basket that I picked up a few day ago.
Before I totally get my groove back,
I need to make a purging sweep through our back porch!
Have you purchased a charming basket lately?

And what's a tisket?
What's a tasket?
Great white basket!! Yes, I purchased a basket lately. It was what I fell on when I got out of the truck at home! It is damaged on the corner a bit but still useable. The handle which drove into my ribs and sternum never even cracked! This is amazing...a tough basket. I think I will just use it, damaged or not, when my body heals!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI have no idea what a tisket or a tasket is! Good question!

Fab baskets! they are so expensive when i spot them at car boots lately! x
ReplyDeleteHi Rebecca....
ReplyDeleteFrom what I can ascertain from online, the words "tisket and tasket" have no specific meaning....they were just rhyming words to "basket" in an old children's game lyrics. Susan
Well, THANKS, Susan! I've sung that little rhyme over and over in my head today!
Deletenice score on the basket, hope you find a task(et) for it.
ReplyDelete:) Clever! By the way, that's what I like about baskets...there's always a use for them. (Sometimes I use them to package a gift!)
DeleteI recently purchased one like the sewing basket, although it is brown. I <3 it!
DeleteGreat finds at great prices! Love a bargain!
ReplyDeleteI have a weakness for baskets and own many. Haven't been thrifting in ages so haven't added any to my collection. Seeing yours surely tempts me to go shopping though. I like them both but finding the sewing basket would make my day.
