...evening shadows in our kitchen
have a way of exposing flaws
while at the same time
comforting and covering the cares and stresses of the day.
Patterns and wood grains blend
and sleep sends its subtle invitation.

I did not see flaws. I saw only lovely wood in a kitchen. Nothing like wood and any marks are character!
ReplyDeleteTrue friends overlook the flaws :).
DeleteI'm a BIG fan of wood and enjoy it in all its shades and shapes.
I like your romantic evening photos, especially of the table and the wooden bowl and fruit.
ReplyDeleteThey soothed me somehow, and I couldn't help capturing them with my phone's camera and saving them here...
DeleteI love things like this with character, Rebecca. They have such a beauty! Your will be treasures!
ReplyDeleteLovely! I love wood too, and with little grandchildren around now...I just can't worry over little nicks and dings here and there. A little more character gets added in!
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely weekend!
Sharon
l couldn't agree more Rebecca, and l love your map jigsaw puzzles....fun and educational :-))
ReplyDeleteI often stop to look at the light and how it changes. There is one kitchen window at our house that seems to be the most effected and really shows how the seasons change. Nice shadows.
