This is a simple post about a simple axiom:
Appear as you are. Be as you appear.

It truly makes life simpler.
I'm currently in the hospital rehabbing after slipping and falling on ice last Saturday.
I got new hip parts in an early Sunday morning surgery.
I was already overdue for a haircut when it happened.
Now the trick is to do SOMEthing with my "bed head"...
This seems to be the simplest.
Maybe I'll get used to it.
Oh goodness, so sorry to hear about your fall and your surgery. Sending wishes for your quick recovery. You actually look quite nice even though you have been through all that.

So sorry to hear your news. If you need any vice about hips drop me a line! Fell better soon. xxxx
ReplyDeleteVix - I was trying to be as cool as YOU! I need help with make-up!
DeleteSending you best wishes for a quick recovery, Rebecca! Your hair looks lovely.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Sheila!
DeleteYou look VERY good for someone who has been through what you have. The hair looks good and is flattering pulled away from your face. Have hubby bring you a ribbon and tie it at base of your neck. You feel young and colorful! Keep getting better!
ReplyDeleteI've thought about a ribbon or scarf....thanks for the suggestion! Maybe I won't get a hair cut :)
DeleteHope you are doing better sweet lady! Wishes for a prompt recovery!
ReplyDeleteHugs,
FABBY
I'm so sorry that you fell. I'm really glad you were taken care of right away. Good luck with your rehab. Your hair looks great.
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness! Sorry to hear about your fall and surgery. Get well soon! As for your hairdo, I must be honest. I tried your style for about a year because I could not find a good hair salon. My 88 year old mom asked me repeatedly when I was going to have my hair cut. At her doctor's office, we were asked if we were sisters. Compliment for whom? Not I. I got a good haircut this week. It took 20 years off my face! As soon as you feel better, get a new hair style! ReplyDeleteYep! I think you're right :)
DeleteGlad you are recovering, but sorry to hear about your fall :( I'm all for appearing like you are.....I've kinda given up on looking like anything other than a middle aged, overweight woman. But I'm mostly ok with it.
ReplyDeleteThinking of you, Cindy. That's a beautiful granddaughter you have :)
DeleteHi my dear! So sorry to hear of your accident and I hope you are recovering well, sending all my best wishes and hugs too! Looking lovely 'au naturel' too! xxx
ReplyDeleteThanks, Sharon. It's got me thinking about wearing a bit of make-up - eye/lips, etc.
DeleteI haven't done that for a long, long time.
I saw on FB that you're home....I know that makes you so much happier!! There's no place like HOME. HOPE you have a speedy recovery. Been thinking about you.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Debbie. It IS good to be home.
DeleteSo glad you are better and at home!
ReplyDeleteOh Rebecca, my dear, I'm so sorry to know about what happened to you!!!
