"FREE", said the sign that captured my attention as I drove by!
Immediately I knew I wanted this urn.
I thought I'd throw away the artificial tree,
but it's growing on me.
I'm thinking about painting the urn.
Any suggestions?????
And how about these chairs?!?
The seats were in horrible condition, but once painted
and fitted with new seats,
the chairs will be a WONderful pair.
Oh my GOODNESS. This is incredible! The urn is a beaut. Don't pass it up, Rebecca. You can paint it white....it'll be a treasure. Susan
ReplyDeleteI'd paint the urn white and distress so the black would show through in a few places. The chairs are marvellous, I love the style, you will have those looking gorgeous in not time flat, or your husband will maybe. Doesn't matter. :)
ReplyDeleteThat's a good idea, Cindy (painting & distressing). And you're correct--it WILL be my husband who will do it once I decide whether to paint or just clean up the wood finish.
DeleteYou have some good finds. Chair are certainly worth recovering. The urn will be gorgeous with paint...black again, white is popular...what about terra cotta with a lemon tree in it?
ReplyDeleteOh, a lemon tree would be fabulous! I'm even thinking of trying to trim the artificial tree into an artificial topiary!
DeleteYou know I look forward to the "after" photos, too!!!
ReplyDeleteLove,
J.
That urn is incredible - there's no way I'd have passed it by either! x
ReplyDeleteI love the urn! I'd paint it yellow ochre. Jo @ Let's Face the Music
