A foray to my Favorite Thrift Store this week netted me these treasures
(plus a nifty golf mug that pleases my husband, a book,
and some rubber or plastic farm animals--one of these days
I'll show 'em here).

Total cost: $1.07.
That's right. For EVERYTHING I just listed!

A bit of glue, and the pineapple napkin holder was good as new.
(Made in Hawaii). It holds a few valentine postcards currently...
And how could I pass up the compact sewing kit?
Its contents show no sign of use.
I'll use the Spiderman case to hold SOMEthing
for one of our grandsons. Such fun!
Cheap thrills keep me going back for more.
Did YOU have any "cheap thrills" this past week?
Did YOU have any "cheap thrills" this past week?
Hi Rebecca....Oh, I usually have a few cheap thrills a week or at least every other week. Ha! I now have the excuse that I can re-sell on my eBay site. ha ha ha LOVE it. Take care and good job on all the new treasures! Susan
ReplyDeleteThe thrift store prices, where I live, are getting higher by the month. Some of the prices are shocking. I saw a pair of jeans at Goodwill, recently, marked at seventy-five dollars!

I don't understand it, do you, Nancy? This week at my favorite store, the sweaters were $1@.
DeleteRebecca, you made my heart pitter patter when I saw that sewing box. I am a sewer and I can't pass up a pretty vintage sewing box. Yours i beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI just had to visit .. as I loved the title to this post. What great finds you have this week. Have a lovely weekend.
ReplyDeleteThat basket is precious.
ReplyDeleteNo cheap thrills for me. Instead I had an expensive thrill at the dermatologists office. All's well now tho.

Oh yeah I did! *Winks* Thanks for stopping by and admiring my Junquing Trawl Scores... Laura Van is an amazing Artist, but she does not do it full time so I'm not certain if there will be much info about her or not? She works as a Nurse I'm told and does her Art as a sideline... she's so Talented that she could easily turn this into a full time career IMO, but perhaps she does her Art as Bliss more than Biz and I can certainly relate to that as an Artist that does mine that way... it's never been about the money for me to Create my Art... so I would literally be the Starving Artist! *LOL*

Wow! Rebecca, all this for $1.07, I would so love to go thrifting with you.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Sue
I LOVE those baskets, Rebecca.
ReplyDeleteTreasures for sure!!!
What bargains! I haven't been shopping in ages! x
ReplyDeleteYou got so many great things for practically nothing. No wonder you have the wonder of the hunt. Great pickings.
ReplyDeleteWow some great finds indeed!! Enjoy your new treasures. I am going to try and do a little thrifting this week myself :) Love Heather
ReplyDeletewell you have to know what MY favorite on here is!!! I've never seen a pineapple napkin holder...and love that you are using it to hold valentines! My goal now that I'm in several local shop/swap/give groups on line is to come out ahead each week meaning sell more than I buy! LOL
ReplyDeleteI DID remember you when I found the pineapple napkin holder! It is yours the next time I see you! (If I can remember that long...)
DeleteHi my dear-wow, what glorious and cheap finds, you did so well- the little sewing kit is just so cute and useful! xxx
ReplyDeleteThat sewing basket is darling! Love the red! Our thrift store raised their prices a couple of years ago, and I think they are still going up. It's silly. The prices now are more than what one would pay at a garage sale. The funny thing is, the store is packed-I told the woman she needs to do a BOGO sale-- the idea didn't go over real well. Ha!
ReplyDeleteWow! You did VERY well!
