All these rolling pins were thrifted in the past--
in my first "rolling pin phase".
I didn't have a good way of displaying them, but while on vacation,
I saw a different style of wine rack fulfilling this purpose.
I remembered that I had THIS one stored on a shelf in our garage.
So I brought it in to try it out.
I think I'll use it! (I have 3 additional rolling pins--one in a drawer that I use as needed.)
I believe I'll keep my eyes open for a larger rack.
Then I can begin a SECOND rolling pin phase!
Do you have a rolling pin collection?
How do you store/display them?
ok...
ReplyDeletesorry its been a bit busy at my house...
so haven't commented in a few days...
Today I noticed the photo to the right of your posts...I love it...the lamp...the candles....the blue plate on the wall(what kind of wall hanger do you have...I am looking for one that holds 3 plates). Thanks 8~)
Take care,
Nancy
Nancy, That's exactly what I have! It was a gift from a friend who was getting rid of it. My husband hung it yesterday. I am having a hard time getting a good picture of it, but it IS a 3-plater...
DeleteWhat a great display! Just found my mother in law's old rolling pin while cleaning out the old farmhouse. I have saved it for her daughter in Montana.
ReplyDeleteI only have one rolling pin, so storage is a snap for me, but I love your storage, Rebecca. Love it!!!
ReplyDeleteHahahaha, Jackie! I have no idea WHY I have so many. I can't remember the last time I rolled ANYthing out....maybe dough for apple dumplings last fall????
DeleteI only have one rolling pin, the one that I use occasionally. I love the way you have displayed yours, very nice!
ReplyDeleteHugs, Cindy
Now I call THAT perfectly repurposing!! How wonderful. Mine are all stuffed into crocks..I finally stopped buying them..still...now that you have given me this cutsie idea.... :)
ReplyDeleteVery clever way to display your rolling pins, Rebecca.Love it! Susan
ReplyDeleteThat is the neatest idea, Rebecca!! It has so much character and charm for your kitchen...very clever!
ReplyDeleteHello Rebecca!
ReplyDeleteI am so happy to be able to visit and comment today! My internet connection is being quite cooperative ~ today is the day it is letting me visit you! I'm sure you are thrilled. :~?
I loved perusing many of your past posts on thrifting! I would love to go with you sometime, even if we both prefer going by ourselves most of the time. :~P
You have found some of the neatest things (and books are one of my favorites, too!) I especially love the bowl of wooden kitchen tools you have ammased! They are so cool! Your rolling pins are terrific (very clever way to display them) and I really like those blue and white candles, too!
Since I am 'allowed' to be here today, I am heading off to check out some of your other places!
Blessings, my friend!
I'm really, REALLY glad you were able to stop in! I'm sure we'd have a great time thrifting together!
DeleteI used to collect rolling pins, but decided I have too many collections and stopped with about six.
ReplyDeleteIf you ever get tired of your collections, you can support yourself by selling on eBay! ;-)

I've already decided this is ONE collection I could part with - so I've listed it on a facebook garage sale site at $30 for 7 plus the holder! We'll see.
DeleteI have several, including a great pink one and some glass ones. They are in a tub. Nice display, huh! I love the wine rack idea but then I would have to get rid of something else. I am hoping my girls will want them. Doubtful... but I can hope.
ReplyDeleteOh, Janie. Now that really IS a collection! And I don't have to wonder if MY girls will want them. It's not even doubtful. They won't!
DeleteIt's a collection I don't have! I have two that I use....and I love to see old ones in thrift stores and sales. I enjoy the worn handles and the smooth wood.
ReplyDeleteHi, I just found your blog via search engines...I LOVE collecting rolling pins. I have 120 and counting:) The round wine rack looks great! I found a rectangular iron one at our local thrift store...I'll post a pic of it tonight if you like...I'm always looking for new ways to display them. Here are a few pics from my blog.
