Happy 100th Birthday, Julia

A look at my bookshelf  reveals two copies of
Mastering the Art of French Cooking.
A closer look at the smaller one with the blue dust jacket
suggests it may actually be a first edition!
I can't remember the details of their purchase,
but I'm absolutely positive it was either at a thrift store or garage sale.
Sadly, I haven't mastered the "art" yet.
I DID enjoy Julia, the movie!

  3. Oh Rebecca. The Julia movie is what got me started on wanting a blog. I saw Jules writing into her computer and had no idea what she was doing. A blog? Not sure what it is, I thought, but I want one! Ha!

Now, almost three years later, I know. It is my daily spurt of pure, unadulterated joy!

Glad you got Julia's cookbooks! Susan

  5. Happy birthday Julia; what a charming and unique lady. I read two of her autobiographical books, well worth the read.
