I wonder, too, what it takes. Seems some years are better than others. I've thought it might be because of how we trim them - kind of haphazdly, I'm afraid to admit :)
Oh this brings back a sweet memory. When we were first married there was a lilac bush outside the kitchen window of the small house we rented. The blooms on it were white though. Yours are gorgeous. I can almost smell the flowers from the picture. :)
Hey pretty lady! I'm finally with some free time to come by, visit and wish you a very happy Mom's Day. I adore lilacs and that artwork is gorgeous! The flowers are lovely too. Hugs, FABBY
Love your lilacs. Makes me think of home.
ReplyDeleteI really like lilacs but they don't grow well here by the Bay. Someone told me they need colder winters but I don't know really.

Wish I had lilacs. The painting and box are great. It so much fun to decorate with thrifted items.
ReplyDeleteHi Rebecca... I LOVE lilacs. None here yet. Susan
ReplyDeleteHi, Susan! We only have a couple of bushes, but they sure are FULL of blooms this year!
