Jig Saw Puzzles

I bought this vintage (probably from the 50s)  29 cent puzzle for 25 cents
at a thrift store last week,
wondering whether or not all the 304 pieces were "there"...
They ARE!
(But though the pieces were larger than most of today's puzzles, they were cut differently.
It was not the breeze to put together that I thought it would be!)
Do YOU "jig saw"?

  2. Yes, m'am! They WERE all here. We go for months w/o doing them....then one day put one out and wonder why we don't ALWAYS have one in the "works"....

  3. I love jigsaw puzzles! Have done them since a child - long time! Usually do them in the winter - don't really have much room here so it is hard to have one going all the time - I'd like to, though. Pretty picture.

    1. Ann, when I visited missionaries in Africa who had little room in their house, I was intrigued by THEIR method....they had their puzzle on the kitchen table. When it was time to eat, they just put a table clothe over it. No problem! :)

  4. I've never been good at completing puzzles. Maybe I don't have the patience.

    1. Nancy, We don't do them very often, but having one up in the house is like eating potato chips for me. I'm not satisfied till it's finished :) "Just one more piece," I tell myself.

  5. We have a tradition of always starting a jigsaw puzzle on New Year's day. Started when the kids were young. Often times we receive a new puzzle for Christmas because people know we will need one. Funny tho, that is usually the only puzzle we do during the year.
