curbside and craig's list

With a little elbow grease, sanding, stain, and polyurethane
these pieces are both beautiful AND useful!
I think William Morris would approve.
"Have nothing in your house that you do not know to be useful,
or believe to be beautiful."

  1. I really like both, especially that desk. It's great, just the style I like. You guys need to start an online business like so many others have and sell these great pieces you are giving new life to. Unless, of course you have plenty of room in your house for them.

    1. Hahahahaha re. room in our house. I actually do sell some of it on a local facebook garage sale site (not NEARLY for the prices I see posted on some blogs or ebay, though).

  4. Lovely work...the desk is my favorite. I can feel the heavy sturdiness, oak I presume. Worked many years out of this kind of desk!

    1. Oak, indeed. It's still my husband's favorite wood to refinish.

  5. I agree with others who said you and your DH should start a business. I enjoy seeing the new life given old things.
