necklines
Necklines are interesting.... I found this sweater on a shelf in my closet this morning. It is warm and suitable for this cold, icy day. This is NOT a neckline that I normally wear, but it fits snugly and I'm liking it!
Unless I surprise myself and leave the house, I will not add a necklace or scarf. I'll simply admire myself as I pass the many MIRRORS on our walls...
Do YOU have a favorite neckline? I think mine is a "V"...

Surely you don't feel self-conscious about your neck/chest? Why on earth would you wish to conceal that area? This is an excellent neckline on you.
ReplyDeleteI favour square necklines. Hard to find unfortunately. Polo or high necks I hate. Fabrics irritate my chin/neck. I have a substantial embonpoint so I should be more careful really....
I love that wide round neckline - it's one of my favourites. I also love a vee.
ReplyDeleteMore tantalising peeks at your gorgeous home, Rebecca, Love those mirrors.
ReplyDeleteThat's a gorgeous neckline on you, very feminine and flattering. I'm quite angular so V shapes, boat and square necklines look horrid. xxx
Interesting I think mine is a v neck also ~Very nice mirrors you have a beautiful home ~Keep Warm there!! ~Love Heather
ReplyDeleteHi my dear-that neckline is very stylish and flattering, one of my favourites too! Love your mirrored pictures, very effective xx
ReplyDeleteThe neckline is very flattering on you. The top looks nice and cozy. Although when it's cold, I prefer layering a scoop or v-neck to help keep me warm. You do have a lovely collection of mirrors. Are you prepared for the snow we are expecting in the next 24 hours? Supposedly we will get 3-5 inches here.
ReplyDeleteDonna...Prepared? I have bread, eggs, milk, cereal & a few pomegranates that I keep forgetting about :) Plenty of canned soup & peanut butter, too. It doesn't take much to keep me at home!
ReplyDeleteHm. I like a v-neck, but have many freckles on my chest, so it definitely depends on the situation. At work, I will wear a blouse beneath that v-neck. I love the scoop on your sweater.
ReplyDeleteThat scoop neckline (not too low) is perfect! I used to get cold in the winter with that neckline --but menopause has changed that! My fave? Boatneck. Paula
ReplyDeleteThat was cute, Rebecca. I think I'm with you on the necklines...v is my fave but I like the one your sweater has, too. Looks nice. Susan
ReplyDeleteI tend to like scoop necks unless winter...then turtle!!
ReplyDeleteYour top looks great...so do the mirrors!
I love the mirror facing your fridge. And the top is lovely on you (neckline and colour). You have a lovely decolletage. Do you sleep on your back perchance? The scoop is my favourite too. It minimises the bust in a slimming way.
ReplyDeleteGreat top, the neckline is lovely, soft and feminine I think. That type of scoop or a nice v-neck is my favorite. I have a pile of scarves but never really mastered the art of wearing them. I end up constantly fussing with them once I have them on - not good.

Why, thank you, Fiona! I learned a new word....and yes, I generally sleep on my back with a pillow tucked behind my neck (for no reasons except comfort).
ReplyDeleteDarla, I don't have much luck with scarves either. When I DO wear them, I just let them hang down:)
ReplyDeleteI like that kind of neckline. Unfortunately the allergy bouts I've had for the past year (and my constant scratching) have left my neck looking rugged and older! So when I'm having an episode I tend to wear a turtleneck to cover it up, though it irritates it even more! I like the feminine look of the rounded scoop as long as I'm not "exposed" too much! My next favorite is the open collared shirt look with one or two buttons undone. Love your many mirrors!
