Can't help lovin' my chandeliers. Trying to decide if/how to "dress" them. Of course, there are always the traditional globes that came on them...but I've seen some interesting variations lately. This may be my project for the week. First, I need to address the cobwebs that I just noticed...There. (I found both of these at thrift stores. Prices on chandeliers at thrift stores have risen since I purchased these!)
Now, any suggestions?
I love chandeliers and do like pimping them up with vintage Xmas decorations and broken jewellery. xxx
ReplyDeleteI remember YOURS, Vix! Mine never come out looking as good as yours!
ReplyDeleteHi Rebecca...I'm with you on chandys. LOVE them. On May 2, 2010, I did a post on how I revamped a chandy in our downstairs bathroom. If I knew how to link it for you, I would, but I don'. If you want to look it up, it's in my archives, found on the sidebar of my post. You may even recall reading it.
ReplyDeleteYour chandys have great potential. Take care and have a wonderful day, Rebecca. Susan
I have a chandeleir - in a box. We took it down and replaced it with a ceiling fan/light. I could never keep it clean. Your's look great, I can't see any obvious cobwebs, LOL!

I thought it was kind of low but apparently to low for him hehehe....I am not sure what to put there?? I will have to check around at the antique shops maybe I can find something vintage ~Can't wait to see how you dress them up...they will be Fabulous I am sure ~Love Heather
ReplyDeleteHm, I'm very curious about this. sorry I have no ideas of my own to contribute.
ReplyDeleteI'm a fan of shades...you can get little inexpensive ones and change them out. They look so very traditional...love that look! Then at Christmas, I love to drape them with garland greenery or beads.
ReplyDeleteHave fun "dressing"
Donna, Shades are what I'm thinking. I saw ONE photo where they mixed and matched the shades--no two were alike. It caught my eye. I have one set of shades SOMEwhere. If only I could remember where I put them when I decided to go "naked" on the 'liers. (That didn't sound right, but you know what I mean.)
