I wouldn't have left them either!! I love old wood, especially old wood with print. I have 2 old yardsticks, 0ne ruler and one ruler that's triangular. Not like to measure angles but triangular instead of flat. I don't know why they did that... I'm sure there's a reason, I just love the way it looks!
It's treasure time and although I've only gotten out twice this season I'm having fun...
Rebecca, you have a good crowd reading your blogs! Two of my brothers had a saw mill at one time and I have several of the yardsticks. I would like to make a picture frame out of some of them and use it for an old picture of my mom when the "boys" were little. You know, they were still called "the boys" even into later life.
I feel that way about pens! ha! Your rulers are really quaint though and I could see you finding a perfect use for them! Have a wonderful weekend Becky...while I'm out in the "yard"!!!
I fit right in with the "odd and weird"! I'm trying to find the bottom of my ironing basket and discovered I have at least 120 cloth napkins. Can't help myself, it's a fetish! But we do use them all the time!
What are you going to do with those yardsticks, anyway??
I'm so in love with rulers these days. I too picked up one last week for 25 cents..it was a long one too,,lol

You rule, Rebecca! (smiles)
ReplyDeleteThat's what I say, Rebecca. Always "go by the rule." Susan
ReplyDelete100 is ALWAYS better. I can think of lots of ways in the Altered Art field to use those yardsticks.

Whee, what a dandy find and so inexpensive. Your collection here is cheaper than mine by a yard! :)
ReplyDeleteI never realized how WITTY my blogging friends are! It's been really fun reading the comments this time!

I've seen where someone cut those in various lengths, and glued them on a table top. Really cool.
