Here I am - just inside our bedroom door.
A wall of 4 white and inexpensive bookshelves
flank a center window creating an almost-built-in effect .
I'm ready for church and
wearing an entirely thrifted outfit.
I figured out I could wear my old gold belt reversed!
(I have no idea what that inverted "V" is on my skirt front.0

(If you didn't get a chance to see my
Free, Fun and Funky post,
just scroll down to yesterday's.)
Today, I'm back to my un-funky self.

Just finished reading this book
- a good one in my opinion.
Entwined in the story,
wonderful descriptions of fashion and home styles
of the era...and Paris!
A novel about the marriage of
Ernest and Hadley Hemingway
by Paula McClain.

"All good books are alike in that they are truer than if they had really happened and after you are finished reading one you will feel that all that happened to you and afterwards it all belongs to you; the good and the bad, the ecstasy, the remorse and sorrow, the people and the places and how the weather was."  (E. Hemingway)

  1. You look snazzy for church, Rebecca! However, I confess you look hot as the day here has been pretty warm after the early morning cool air evaporated. But I bet you have AC in church which makes dressing for temps a real challenge!

  2. It IS a cooler day here, Bookie. But you are right. The black long-sleeve looks warm. I was just ready to wear it again. I can't think of ANYTHING I feel more comfortable in...

  3. Aren't Fashions so much fun!? Thanks for stopping by my Autumn Vibe Post... I don't decorate scary either, the G-Baby Girl is too creeped out by most Halloween Themed Decor, so like you I tend to decorate with a Whimsical Pumpkin Theme with interesting old bottles filled with colored 'Potions', which lends itself well to just transitioning right into Thanksgiving & we can keep it all up through November.

    Dawn... The Bohemian

  4. Yes, I feel very attached to the good books I read. It's hard when they are over to get back to the "normal world."

  5. You look very nice...The black looks very pretty with your hair. That looks like a good book I will have to check it out ~Love Heather

  6. Looks like you are headed for fall colors. I'll check for that book in my library. Always looking for reading recommendations.

  7. You're stylin' girl, you're stylin'!

Just gotted down that title and author. Will ask about next time I'm at the library. Sounds good, and I like the cover.

  8. whoops... I meant, 'jotted', not 'gotted'.
