Vintage Christmas Monday #2

I've chosen to show some vintage Christmas/winter oil paintings that are propped up or hanging in our Christmas cabin.  These are either paint-by-numbers or naive free style paintings.

The cabin has a Christmas tree motif.  Most of these paintings (all found at thrift stores or in garage sales) include pine trees - bare or green.
More Vintage Christmas Mondays can be found HERE.

I'm not thrilled with the clarity of this picture.  If you look closely, you can see the Christmas tree pin  I'm wearing on the lapel of my thrifted (Pendleton) black jacket.(I have a small collection of Christmas tree pins.)

I'm wearing a pretty simple outfit for a pretty complicated day I'm also using this outfit to illustrate Holiday Health Tip #7.

  1. Your collection is very interesting and sure don't look like what I remember paint by numbers. I love the Christmas "jewels" too. Thanks for sharing. Judi

  2. I love the idea of collecting paintings of Christmas trees. They are all wonderful and must make your cabin very cozy. Happy Vintage Christmas Monday!

  3. The paintings are so homey and fun :)

But what I like is how comfortable you look in your thrifty items of clothing.

I think you have given me an idea...maybe I should post about all the items I find in thrift stores and how I put them together...ummm...something to think about :)

Grace & Peace to you dear friend,

  4. Hi there-a lovely post and I like the outfit, very casual chic-the scarf really makes it!

  5. I'm sure that the first and third paintings are paint-by-number....

  6. Oh your paintings are beautiful, and what a lovely place for them, in your cabin... Bisous... Julie Marie

  7. Very pretty paintings! Love your thrifted outfits! Mine are usually thrifted as well! What a great way to save money so I can buy more vintage things.

  8. You lucky girl! Those paintings are so wonderful, and I bet they make your cabin so cozy and homey. You've inspired me to try to find some of these for my home. Love them!
    Happy Vintage Christmas!

  9. These paintings all remind me of vintage Christmas cards! All so pretty!

I love the idea of a Christmas cabin!
    Love to you, Eileen

  10. I loved looking at all your paintings. How fun to have them all at your cabin. I would agree that a couple are paint by number, but still look so good. They seem to capture the spirit of Christmas well.

  11. I love these paintings...especially the final pbn snowy tree seen...ahhh the quiet woods on a snowy eve, nothing but snow crunching under your peaceful. Happy VCM!
