scarves someday

This morning as I was reading my favorite blogs, I was reminded about this colorful scarf I bought a long time ago at a thrift store.  I am rather inept at tying scarves.  I never feel that I've mastered the art and seldom end up wearing one.  I should have spent more time looking at the examples on Low Fat Dressing.  I COULD have done better.
One thing is for sure...this scarf has a lot of beautiful colors and patterns in it!
If I could master the skill required for tying it, it would have multiple possibilities!
Each corner has it's own color combination.
One of these days, I'll get it figured out!

I love scarves, I think they're already part of my winter uniforme, I almost feel naked with no scarf :-)

  8. I'm not much of a scarf wearer, yet, because I don't know how to tie them. It's crazy to think that something so simple as a square of cloth could come to seem so complicated. It looks like a lovely scarf.

  9. That scarf is GORGEOUS!! Wow, I would have grabbed it too. I like that loose drape tie you did. You could also do a double loop around your neck and tie after that, or a long drape around your neck and tie it in front...lots of possibilities!

I really like Deja Pseu's scarf tutorials. Now SHE knows how to wear a scarf!

  11. That is so "me" when it comes to scarves. I can't figure out how to tie them, but I think MY problem is a short neck! And here I am, talking about my neck when we haven't even really met! Ha! Well, I came by way of Lori's and nice to meet you here today.

  13. I too am perplexed by scarves. I love them, mostly on other people. I have an aunt who is 92 and she almost always has a fancy scarf on. Even if she just lets it drape around her neck, or ties it across her shoulders, she just drips with class and always looks so put together. Your scarf really makes that gray and black outfit pop. I hope you wore it...it looks great!

  14. Love the scarf and you have styled it masterfully! Sally at Already Pretty has a scarf tying tutorial on her blog today. I take it you didn't float away with last night's storm. We had tornado sirens and the whole bit...scary...
