This is the high chair we found curbside a few weeks ago.
Gary repaired it and painted it white.
Gary repaired it and painted it white.
We moved it into our dining area yesterday.
It stands ready to seat a little one when they come to share a meal with us!
It is not an IDLE chair!
Until it is called into service, I thought I would put it to use
holding these colorful, vintage "Companion Library" books.
I found these books (each containing two young peoples' classics) at a thrift store.
I filled a grocery bag with books for a total of $5. (These were just a few of them.)

Awesome transformation on the chair!!
ReplyDeleteChair is wonderfullly resscued!Bookshelf? Great idea!
ReplyDeleteAwwww. That looks soooo beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI love how you repurpose items. I am in awe.
ReplyDeleteGreat use of the chair - until the latest grandchild comes to sit in it of course.

What a "novel" way to use that adorable chair!
ReplyDeleteWhen my kids were little we had a Companion library book. It had The wizard of Oz on one side and the Jungle Book on the other. I read both stories aloud twice. Once to Cory and Hillary, then later to Erin and Audrey (there is just enough difference in age that it was like having two sets of children). Thanks for another memory!

Donna, I HAVE to find out how to contact you! What a clever play on words.
ReplyDeleteDebbie...You're welcome. One of these books IS the one you referred to!
Once again, you are over the top with creativity! I love it! Once I was in a home where the children were too old for the high chair, and in it sat a large pot of red geraniums...I thought that was pretty clever as well!
ReplyDeleteahhh. The abandoned chair found a home.
ReplyDeleteJust adorable. And a bag of books for $5.00? How exciting. Is there anything better than coming home with a new bag of old books? I'm planning a bit of thrifting today and hopefully I'll come home with a few.
ReplyDeleteJacquelyn, That would be a great use for this chair, too!
