what the easter bunny brought

One of the very few bunnies left when our daughter (now 32) outgrew her bedroom full of bunnies!
Now he (she?) is on our mantle waiting for Easter.
Look what the Easter Bunny brought in out of the rain today?!
After it dries off, my husband will begin to repair it.  It probably will be painted.
The more I read Janie's Blog (and her daughter Annie's),
the more I'm getting into painted furniture!
The pulls on this dresser were worth getting wet for!
There is an eagle in the center of each with 3 stars above it.
Great storage here.  I can't wait to see the finished product.

  1. Oh....this is a beautiful piece. I actually like the color of the wood and would leave it as is. At the very least, you MUST leave the original drawer pulls. If you don't, I will have to come and hurt you!

  2. Not to worry, middle child. The pulls will be kept/reused. I don't think it's all wood. That's the main reason we'd paint it.

Your suggestions and observation IS definitely welcomed!

  9. Well, my gosh, Rebecca. Your husband should get an extra chocolate Easter bunny for that find. It looks like a lovely dresser---strong and sturdy. Are all the drawers entact? Wowsers. What color are you going to do it? Susan

  10. Susan, The drawers ARE intact. He may have to replace a bottom or two that are warped 'cause of rain.

Color? YTBD (Yet to be determined.) I'm really interested in getting my hands on "chalk paint" that I'm seeing used around blogland. Not sure if it has hit our local stores yet though.

  11. Great rescue. A person can't have enough storage and I think it will be great painted. Haven't heard of "chalk paint". I'll be watching for pics of the finished dresser.
