OK.  I'll bring out the iron and ironing board
before leaving the house this morning.
I still do.  Occasionally.
Do you?

  1. Indeed I do. I am one of the very few women who enjoys ironing. Bringing order out of chaos. Dusting and vacuuming however I loathe.

  3. Well, I don't even own an ironing board (but then I live in a RV - no space for one) I DO own an iron but don't use it very often - T shirts and blue jeans don't usually require ironing! But, when I do need to iron I make a makeshift ironing board on my kitchen counter using a sheet for the padding.
    Happy Sunday!

  4. I don't iron much, not a stitch the last 6 weeks...it has been knit crops and white tee shirts of some vairety everyday...that is when I am not in a summer nightgown watering on the deck!

  5. Once in a blue moon, I'll pull out the old ironing board and iron and press some clothes. Usually, I wait til the "need to iron" laundry basket is filled to the brim. Have my handy spray starch nearby, too.

Once I get going, I actually like ironing. Susan

  7. We leave one up in the basement laundry room.
I just cannot stand the sound it makes to put it up and down.

  9. I'm another one who actually likes ironing. Remember when things were starched and you had to sprinkle them and then iron them? Yep, the olden days, LOL!

  10. Yes, I still iron, although not as much as I used to. Even 'Permanent Press' can benefit from a nice crisp seam along the sleeve--looks more 'finished' and more like a person cares about their appearance. My ironing board has a nice, dark iron mark on it... I leave it out in full view as to impress others... ;)

  11. I'm fortunate enough to have a spot in my laundry room to keep the ironing board up. My husband wears dress shirts every day and likes them crisp with starch. Emily's cotton figured skirts always look better with ironing and a crisp starched pillowcase makes me smile. Is there a name for this fascination of all things ironed -- ironititus?

  12. I can see I've missed a LOT in blogland this summer! My friends all make fun of me because I am an ironer. When I have time I even iron bedsheets, but always the pillow cases. My favorite thing to iron is the kids' clothes...and hubby likes his shirts pressed & sleeves creased. He does help with that as I'm so pinched for time. I'm fortunate to have a laundry room on the main floor but I do pull the ironing board out into the kitchen where I have more space. As soon as hubby gets back to work, I plan to celebrate by purchasing a heavy duty ironing board I have my eye on at Joann Fabrics. Of course I will use the 40% off coupon they run weekly! I have the same disease as Pamela~ironitis! One friend says I do it for "therapy". She may be right! LOL
