At club on Tuesday, we each were to bring a piece of jewelry to exchange. After a lot of ohs and ahs and some "stealing" and exchanging, this is what I came home with. I think it will go fine with some of my denim jackets with silver fasteners! I'll add it to my burgeoning collection of
faux gemstones!
Oh, I adore that beautiful turquoise pendant. I wear turquoise every day, it's my birthstone and my favourite of all stones. xxx
ReplyDeleteTHANK you, Vix! It IS a beautiful stone.
ReplyDeleteIt's gorgeous...and you know how I love owlies!!!
ReplyDeleteHi there-wow, you picked well, it looks gorgeous my dear very nice indeed!! x
ReplyDeleteDeb, I remember now that you "love owlies"!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Sharon. I'm trying to minimalize my wardrobe and entire household, so I bagged several pieces of my own jewelry and determined to come home with only 1 piece!
That's a fabulous necklace - good haul!
ReplyDeleteVery nice necklace, Rebecca. Very Arizonesque. Oh my. Good luck on minimalizing your wardrobe and entire household. If I tried to do that, I'd have a VERY hard time. I'm quite compulsive, to say the least. My faux jewelry is kept in a large DRESSER...drawer for earrings, drawer for pins and rings, drawer for bracelets, etc. etc. NOT GOOD. ha! Take care. Susan
ReplyDeleteSusan, I have a VERY l....o.....n........g way to go!
ReplyDeleteOkay I just love this I am really into turquoise looking things right now. And this piece is great so original looking ~Enjoy your new Treasure Love Heather
ReplyDeleteVery nice, I agree it will go with either a jean or vest very well. Good luck on the "clearing out". I did one really good sweep of my closet but looking at what is left I know I could (and should) do it again.
ReplyDeleteDarla
Rebecca dear what a precious piece. It has everything... it's turquoise, it's a owl (all things that are so "in" for F/W 2010) and looks great with everything!!!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely piece, my dear.
Hope everything is well with you.
xoxo
Hi Rebecca, great choice! My mom was a pretty serious collector of turquoise. I also love the fun shape of the owl. Very cute.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun idea! I love the idea of a jewelery exchange Rebecca! Can I be invited next time?!:) Just teasing but that is a beautiful beautiful stone and a lovely necklace design.
ReplyDeleteMy grandma had a large turquoise ring that she wore every day (my grandpa actually just found it lying on a beach one day while fishing!), and it was so unique and pretty. I never once saw her without it.
Have a lovely day!
Colleen, Do you know where the ring is now? What a wonderful memory and story of how it was found! (The jewelry exchange WAS fun. And of course, you could come next time!)
