You did exactly what I would have done....put them somewhere safe and where I could see and enjoy them. I just had a thought....what do you think the first owners of our antiques would think, when they saw them as yard and building *art* ? We've had rusty things hang around before....and they don't tend to discolor wood or brick.
I think that is a wonderful way to display them.

I think they're in a wonderful spot!!! I do love "odd" antiques like tools and such.
