would you ever....

Would you ever wear this pattern and plaid together?
I did...then wondered if it worked.
I decided it did. For me.
It's not the FIRST time I've mixed pattern and plaids--
take for instance this pillow made of fabric from wallpaper sample books...
I ♥ these plaid tin containers--small part of my "tin collection".

  1. Love the pattern mix! I definitely would wear it. The belt just sets it off. Recently I've been getting bolder with pattern mixing - no crazy old bag lady mixing but a little more subtle.

  2. I would never wear it but I'm a basic black kinda woman. It works brilliantly on you. I think the belt really is the key to it although I couldn't possibly say why.

  5. It works brilliantly on you, Jen's right the belt is the key, it breaks the clash up nicely. x

  7. Fantastic summer outfit! LOVE the colors and the mix AND the belt!
Would I ever wear it? I would if I could but I can't so I won't. Sadly, I haven't worn a belt in years. I need my tops to come down and cut across my hips and tummy. This is the way I "create" a midriff. I'm just too short and round for belts. You are looking GOOD!

  9. I don't own much clothing in print fabric so no, I probably wouldn't. I think you've done it very well tho.

  11. Your use of mixing plaids and florals worked well. I think because the plaid was not extremely bold they don't fight!
    Enjoyed your Blog today.
