speaking of yesterday

Almost as much as I like little black dresses,
 I like little black tops!
I bought this one for fifty cents
and am wearing it with the same jeans that I wore yesterday.
I like the way the sleeves and neck are finished.
Speaking of yesterday...
a friend and I went to my Favorite Thrift Store
before enjoying a wonderful lunch.
Here are two of my treasures from the adventure--
Books, pictures, and wooden objects are "a few of my favorite things".
Lunch?  This wonderful grilled pear salad with goat cheese
and currant vinaigrette dressing.

  1. Honestly Rebecca, I don't know who thrifts more, you or me!!! Your watch reminded me of two bracelets that I found while thrifting this summer. They were unique as they both had a little charm on them and another charm that spelled DI. My daughter found them and well, we had to get them since everyone calls me DI !!
I loved that second framed picture with the flowers , it looked old. And I agree, the top is very cute, like the neckline on it.
Lunch looks really good. Love Di ♥

  2. I know. It must look like this is all I DO.
    That charm sounds sweet, Di.
I've had my watch forever. Am lost w/o it. (Gary no longer wears a watch - depends on his cell phone for the time. Not me.)

  5. Love the needlepoint picture! I have found quite a few needlepoint pictures at Goodwill. Some are incredible and it makes me wonder how anyone could get rid of them. The hours and hours of time and effort and talent that is incorporated into each one is amazing. How sad that the recipient didn't appreciate them, or maybe it was ancestors that didn't. I am happy to give them a new home and love them, or give them to friends that do.

    1. I so agree, Nancy - about the hours of time, effort, talent & then $$ in framing, etc.

  11. Your tee is sweet, the pear salad looks wonderful! Never seen grilled pears. We have been on the road the last week and would see Thrift stores too late with a major turn around. Did a coupole of flea markets but that isn't quite the same. Thought of you whenever I saw the Thrift signs! It will take a few days to catch up here, but then we will have to atone for the dietary breaches and more!
