Simply Chic

"In character, in manner, in style, in all things, the supreme excellence is simplicity."
Henry Wadsworth Longfellow
"'Think simple' as my old master used to say - meaning reduce the whole of its parts
into the simplest terms, getting back to first principles."
Frank Lloyd Wright
"Beauty of style and harmony and grace and good rhythm depend on simplicity."

Nothing thrills me like finding simple items like this white creamer
and wooden bowl for twenty-five cents each.
I haven't been thrift store shopping for several weeks,
but I ventured out today.  These were my favorite purchases of the day.

  1. Wow, Rebecca. 25cents each? That was a "ganga." I'd fill that wooden bowl with fall apples or pomander balls and put it in the middle of the kitchen table. Nice job finding them! Susan

  2. Both items are wonderful. Simple most often equals elegant to me.

  3. You did swell...wood and white are both timeless!

  4. That white creamer is a little beauty! Lately while looking at decorating magazines, I've been seeing wooden bowls on coffee tables... I've thought of you!

  5. Oh very good deal!! Those are some nice pieces to add to your collection you found some good treasures!! ~Enjoy your weekend Love Heather

  6. I love a good deal, and your white dishes and dough bowl are fantastic!!

  7. Great finds, great deals! Hope you are much better and able to really enjoy the nicer temps.
