A Trio of Wooden Candlesticks

Today I visited my favorite thrift store - my first visit in 2010.  I purchased the tall candlestick on the left.  It joins two others I had gotten earlier at thrift stores.  (The largest one is partially hidden behind the one holding the white candle.)  Tomorrow I'll model the cape I bought today.  The price was definitely right!

  1. You are styling it quite well I'd say. One thing I sometimes do (if the knit is thin/fine enough)is fold it in half the long way (across the opening hole) and use it as a heavy shawl/scarf. It goes over a winter coat pretty well and then when you get inside and take your coat off you can always use it as a poncho if you get chilly. I'm not sure this description is really clear but try it out.

  2. Oh... one more idea. Put the poncho on with equal parts front/back. Put on a belt but just around the waist and over the front piece, leaving the back free. Gives warmth but still shows you aren't a shaped like a snow-woman :-)
